Srinagar, Jan 9: The week’s snow spell has just ended. Based on official readings and anecdotal accounts, Ziraat Times below compiles how much snowfall has been recorded in various areas of J&K.

As can be seen, there are wide variations between the amounts of  snowfall within Kashmir valley plains. As already predicted in Ziraat Times outlook issued on January 4, due to warmer lower atmosphere temperature brought about by southerly winds, many plain areas of Kashmir experienced rain and sleet for first 3 days, as forecast.
