Another rain, snowfall spell likely in J&K from Sunday: ZT Outlook

Srinagar, Oct 15: Another spell of rains and snowfall is likely to begin in Jammu & Kashmir on Sunday and culminate late Monday night.

According to Ziraat Times weather monitoring system, a large weather system is likely to engulf northern parts of India between Sunday and Monday, which will result in early heavy snowfall in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and southern parts of J&K, mainly Anantnag higher reaches, Kishtwar, Bhaderwah and Doda districts.

Most of the cloud system is likely to avoid J&K, mainly its northern parts.

Analysis of varied data by Ziraat Times suggests that heavy snowfall is likely in Himalayan range across Himachal and Uttarakhand, while moderate snowfall will occur in J&K in areas like Gurez upper areas, Sonamarg, Kolohai and Nun Kun areas, Margan Top, Anantnag higher reaches and surrounding areas and upper reaches of Bhaderwah and Kishtwar. Snowfall is also likely in Kargil, Zanaskar valley and Ladakh.

During this spell, rainfall is likely across Kashmir valley plains, including Srinagar, mainly on Sunday.

Weather is likely to clear Monday night onwards.
