JAMMU, AUGUST 13: The Jammu Development Authority (JDA) has awarded the Letter of Award (LoA) for development of an amusement park in the vicinity of IIM Jammu, marking a step towards expanding the city’s tourism and recreational infrastructure.
The proposed amusement park is envisaged as a major recreational and tourism destination, offering entertainment facilities for residents and visitors while creating new opportunities for employment and allied economic activity.
JDA Vice Chairman Rupesh Kumar described the project as a “game-changer for Jammu’s tourism sector”, saying it would add a new dimension to the city’s recreational infrastructure and contribute to the diversification of its tourism offerings.
He said the project would also generate opportunities for local employment and support related economic activities.
Kumar appreciated the strategic guidance and continued support of senior officials, which he said had helped the JDA pursue development initiatives focused on tourism, investment and sustainable urban growth.
The project is part of the JDA’s efforts to unlock the potential of its land resources through planned, transparent and investment-oriented development while creating quality public amenities.
Once completed, the amusement park is expected to emerge as a major recreational destination and further strengthen Jammu’s position as a tourism and investment hub.
