President Extends Eid-ul-Fitr Greetings, Calls for Unity and Compassion

New Delhi, March 20: The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, has extended her greetings to citizens on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, urging people to promote unity, compassion and support for the underprivileged.

In a message issued on Friday, the President conveyed her heartfelt wishes to all citizens, with special greetings to Muslim communities in India and abroad celebrating the festival after the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan.

Murmu said Eid-ul-Fitr symbolizes values such as self-control, charity and compassion, particularly toward those in need. She noted that the festival also spreads the message of love, brotherhood, peace and mutual harmony in society.

The President added that the occasion serves as a reminder to work for the well-being of all individuals and called on citizens to help those in need, strengthen unity and contribute to the nation’s progress.
