Srinagar/Jammu: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Jammu & Kashmir has appointed Iqram Ali Shafiee as the new Chairman of CII J&K for 2026–27, while Siddhant Chowdhary has taken charge as the Vice-Chairman.
Shafiee, who serves as Managing Director of Shafiee Healthcare Pvt Ltd, is known for his work in expanding quality healthcare services and managing diverse teams in the sector. His experience in healthcare management has helped him develop a strong understanding of the industry and its evolving needs.
He holds a law degree and has been closely associated with CII for several years. Earlier, he served as Convener of the CII J&K Healthcare Panel during 2024–25 and was a member of the CII Northern Regional Healthcare Committee in 2023–24. He has also worked as Co-Chairman for Entrepreneurship and Skills and served on the Young Indians National Team, including as Co-Chairman for National Retreats in 2018 and as a member of the Rural Initiatives team during 2016–17. In addition, he was Chairperson of the Young Indians–CII Srinagar Chapter from 2014 to 2017.
Meanwhile, Siddhant Chowdhary represents the fifth generation of the KC Group, a 70-year-old diversified conglomerate based in Jammu & Kashmir. He currently serves as Director of KC Sports Club and Managing Director of Hotel Vivanta Jammu, while also overseeing KC Hyundai Srinagar and serving as Managing Director of Sky Soarr Entertainment Park, one of the largest indoor entertainment destinations in the region.
For 2025–26, Chowdhary is serving as a CII State Council Member and Tourism Mentor, following his earlier role as Convener of the Tourism Panel of the CII J&K UT Council in 2024. Through these roles, he has been involved in strengthening the region’s tourism ecosystem with a focus on innovation, collaboration and sustainable development.
A hotelier by profession, Chowdhary has received nearly ten national and international recognitions, including the Stelliers Owner of the Year – South Asia award in 2020, and is known for promoting responsible growth and community-focused leadership in the hospitality sector.
