Srinagar: The leadership of the Jammu & Kashmir Fruits and Vegetables Processing & Integrated Cold Chain Association (JKPICCA) met with the Managing Director (MD) of Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) today to discuss key issues concerning the industrial sector.
The JKPICCA President Bashir Ahmad Naik extended his heartfelt appreciation to the MD KPDCL for ensuring consistent and uninterrupted power supply to all industrial estates, with particular emphasis on the Industrial Growth Centre (IGC) Lassipora and Industrial Estate Aglar, a statement issued to Ziraat Times said.
This reliable power supply has significantly contributed to the smooth functioning and productivity of industrial units, he said.
A detailed discussion was also held regarding the introduction of an amnesty for the commercial sector. The MD KPDCL assured full support for this initiative, which is expected to provide much-needed relief to industrial units, the statement added. JKPICCA leaders emphasized that this amnesty would not only offer a cushion to businesses but also contribute to enhanced revenue generation and improved recovery of dues for the power department, with projections to achieve substantial progress by March 2025.
The JKPICCA remains committed to collaborating with KPDCL and other stakeholders to promote industrial growth and ensure a favorable business environment in the region, the leadership emphasised.
