Withheld fruit trucks at Qazigund: Kashmir Fruit Growers Union call for action

Srinagar, June 27: Kashmir Valley Fruit Growers cum Dealers Union has expressed concern over withholding the fresh plum (Scentrose) and apple loaded trucks at Qazigund Tunnel and have demanded early action to ensure the trucks move towards their destinations without losing further time.

“All concerned authorities are requested to kindly intervene and allow the movement of fruit loaded trucks outside UT on priority basis as Plum etc are highly perishable fruits and requires immediate transportation”, Bashir Ahmad Basheer, Chairman, Kashmir Valley Fruit Growers cum Dealers Union said in a statement to Ziraat Times.

No official could be immediately  reached about the reasons of the stoppage.
