Srinagar: Would it, finally, snow in Kashmir plains, including Srinagar, this weekend?

Well, according to Ziraat Times forecast, snowfall in Kashmir plains is very likely starting late Friday until Saturday.

Analysis of multiple weather data by Ziraat Times indicates that snowfall is likely to start late Friday across North Kashmir, inlcuding Gurez, Upper Bandipora, Upper Kupwara, Sadhna Pass and surrounding areas, Upper Rafiabad, Gulmarg, Tosa Maidan, Pir ki Gali and other surrounding Pirpanjal areas too. The total snowfall expected in these areas is 6 inches to 2 feet.

Medium to heavy snowfall is also likely in Zojila Pass, Sonamarg, Sindh valley, surrounding areas, Aru, Pahalgam and other surrounding areas. The total snowfall expected in these areas is 1 feet to 2 feet.

Light to medium snowfall.is also likely across central Kashmir including Yusmarg, Charar Sharief, Budgam karewas and South Kashmir areas, including all major mountain passes, including Qazigund, Banihal, Pir Ki Gali, Shopian, Kulgam, Verinag, Kapran, Damhal Hanjipora and surrounding areas. The total snowfall expected in these areas is 6 inches to 2 feet.

Light to medium snowfall is also likely in Srinagar district and surrounding areas including, Dara Harwan areas, Dachigam, Mahadev and surrounding areas, Zabarwan mountains. The total snowfall expected in these areas is 6 inches to 2 feet.

Due to an existing temperature differential, any considerable snowfall is not anticipated around Pampore, lower Khrew, Awantipora and lower Tral areas.
