Vicky Shaw, Khawar Butt combine for nine birdies at Ahad Golf Championship in Pahalgam

PAHALGAM, September 20: Vicky Shaw, Chairman of the PHDCCI Kashmir, and Khawar Butt, CEO of KBits Networks, delivered an impressive performance at the Ahad Golf Championship 2026, combining for nine birdies during the tournament held at the Lidder Valley Golf Course in Pahalgam.

The championship brought together 76 golfers for a day of competitive play at the scenic golf course, which received widespread appreciation from participants for its well-maintained fairways, quality greens and playing conditions.

Shaw carded a round of 76, while Butt recorded a score of 74. Their combined tally of nine birdies highlighted their performance during the tournament, which was played under a three-fourth handicap system to promote competitive balance among participants.

The event was sponsored by Mushtaq Burza of Welcomhotel Pine & Peaks. Participants appreciated the facilities and accommodation arrangements provided by Burza, which contributed to the overall experience of the golfers and guests.

The championship was moderated by Owais Burza, while hospitality arrangements were overseen by Asif Burza of the Ahad Group.

Speaking after the event, Vicky Shaw praised the golf course and the arrangements made by the organisers.

“The Lidder Valley course is beautifully maintained with excellent greens, and the arrangements made by the Ahad Group and Welcomhotel Pine & Peaks were truly top level. It was a fantastic day of golf, and I congratulate all the participants,” Shaw said.
