Srinagar, Aug 11: A 25-year-old woman was killed in an overnight road accident in the Kral Sangari area of Nishat in Srinagar, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the accident occurred around 1:30 am, when a speeding vehicle bearing registration number JK01AR-0071 hit a road divider and overturned.
He said a woman travelling in the vehicle sustained injuries and was shifted to a hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead upon arrival. The deceased was identified as Toboya Auyob (25), a resident of Srinagar.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and further proceedings are underway.
