Rahul Sahai seeks industry-friendly policy, transparent renewal of lease deeds
Jammu, July 30: Rahul Sahai, Chairman of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Jammu, on Thursday met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan in Jammu and discussed a range of issues concerning trade, industry and urban development in Jammu & Kashmir.
During the meeting, Sahai apprised the Lieutenant Governor of the challenges and opportunities facing the trade and industrial sectors and submitted suggestions aimed at strengthening the Union Territory’s business ecosystem.
A key issue raised during the meeting was the need for a pragmatic and industry-friendly policy on the renewal of lease deeds under the Housing & Urban Development Department. Sahai urged the administration to make the lease renewal process transparent, time-bound and investment-friendly, saying such measures would improve the ease of doing business and encourage fresh investment in Jammu & Kashmir.
According to an official statement, the Lieutenant Governor gave a patient hearing to the issues raised and assured that the concerns would be examined sympathetically in the larger interest of the people and the economic development of the Union Territory.
Sahai thanked the Lieutenant Governor for his continued support to the business community and his proactive approach towards addressing issues of public and industrial importance.
