Srinagar, June 11: Khyber Cement on Thursday celebrated Lavender Day 2026 at its factory premises, marking the third consecutive year of the event and highlighting its efforts to promote environmental sustainability alongside industrial development.
The celebration was held amid blooming lavender fields adjoining the company’s factory and brought together government officials, industry stakeholders and members of the local community.
Among those present were Safeer Shah and Bilal Ahmad Khan, along with other stakeholders.
The event centred around the company’s Lavender Park, which Khyber Cement said symbolizes the coexistence of industrial growth and environmental responsibility. The company noted that the initiative reflects its commitment to community engagement and ecological stewardship.
Speaking on the occasion, Safeer Shah commended Khyber Cement for developing and maintaining the Lavender Park and appreciated its efforts to promote environmental awareness alongside industrial expansion. He also congratulated the company on being recognised as the best cement brand in Jammu and Kashmir, attributing the achievement to its focus on quality, leadership and responsible development.
