Srinagar, June 11: The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), Kashmir Chapter, has invited traders, manufacturers, MSMEs, startups, women entrepreneurs and trade associations from Jammu and Kashmir to participate in the Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav (BVM) 2026, a national trade expo jointly being organised by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) and CAIT.
In a statement issued on Thursday, CAIT Kashmir said the event has been conceived as a major platform to promote the vision of a self-reliant and developed India by bringing together manufacturers, traders, industry leaders, policymakers, institutions and international buyers.
The organisation said the trade fair is expected to attract more than 1,000 exhibitors, over 5,000 foreign delegates, 500 trade associations, representatives of more than 10 Central Ministries and 10 States and Union Territories, besides over two lakh business delegates and more than 10 lakh visitors.
CAIT Kashmir Chapter President Farhan Kitab said the event would provide businesses from Jammu and Kashmir an opportunity to showcase their products, services, innovation and craftsmanship before national and international buyers.
He urged traders, MSMEs, startups, manufacturers and entrepreneurs from the region to take advantage of the platform to expand their market reach and explore new business opportunities.
According to the organisation, the Mahotsav will feature sectors including FMCG, consumer goods, textiles, fashion, handicrafts, agriculture, food processing, tourism, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, engineering, construction, information technology, financial services, renewable energy and logistics.
The event will also host business-to-business meetings, seminars and conferences, a startup pitch arena, a pavilion dedicated to women-led enterprises, a regional food festival, business excellence awards and an exhibition promoting entrepreneurship among differently-abled persons.
CAIT Kashmir said participation in the event would help businesses from Jammu and Kashmir gain national visibility, establish strategic partnerships and access new domestic and international markets.
