Pampore Traders Federation Joins KTMF; New Leadership Calls for Greater Trader Unity

Pampore, May 22: The Pampore Traders Federation on Thursday formally joined the Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) during an oath-taking ceremony held in Pampore, with speakers emphasizing the need for stronger unity and coordination among traders across Kashmir.

The event was attended by traders, office bearers and representatives of various trade bodies from different areas, reflecting what participants described as a collective commitment towards strengthening trader representation at the grassroots level.

During the ceremony, Abdul Majeed, who was recently elected president of the federation, formally took oath of office along with members of the newly elected body. The office bearers reaffirmed their commitment to work for the welfare and upliftment of the trader community in the area.

Representatives of Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation attended the event as special invitees. Acting on the directions of KTMF President Mohammad Yaseen Khan, a delegation of the federation visited Pampore to participate in the ceremony and extend support to the newly elected leadership.

The delegation included Bashir Ahmad Rather, Qazi Tauseef, Lateef Ahmad Sofi, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Muzaffar Ahmad Jan, Rouf Ahmad Reshi, Haji Wali Mohammad Mir, Bashir Ahmad Chat and Riyaz Ahmad Bhat.

Addressing the gathering, Bashir Ahmad Rather stressed the importance of unity among traders and said stronger federations played a key role in safeguarding the interests of the business community. He congratulated the newly elected body of the Pampore Traders Federation and wished them success in their future initiatives.

Speaking on the occasion, Rouf Ahmad Reshi highlighted the role of Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation in consistently taking up issues concerning traders with the government, financial institutions and other concerned agencies.

He said KTMF had remained at the forefront in raising issues affecting trade and commerce and ensuring effective representation of the business community.

Meanwhile, Abdul Majeed thanked the KTMF leadership for attending the ceremony and said the visit would further strengthen coordination and relations between local trade bodies and the apex traders’ federation.

The event concluded with participants expressing a collective resolve to work in close coordination for addressing issues faced by traders and strengthening unity within the business community across Kashmir.
