BOMIS extends Eid greetings, stresses moral education, social responsibility

Pampore, May 26: Birla Open Minds International School Pampore on Tuesday extended Eid-ul-Adha greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the Muslim Ummah, emphasising the importance of moral education, discipline and social responsibility.

In a joint Eid message, BOMIS Chairman Abdul Aziz Mir, Secretary G. M. Lone and the school management conveyed greetings to students, parents, teachers and the wider community.

They prayed that the festival would bring peace, prosperity, happiness and blessings to every household.

The management said Eid-ul-Adha symbolises the values of patience, sacrifice, compassion, gratitude and humanity, while also promoting brotherhood, unity and care for underprivileged sections of society.

Highlighting the role of education in society, the school management stated that true education extends beyond academics and includes the development of moral values, discipline, character and respect for humanity.

They said educational institutions play a crucial role in shaping responsible and compassionate citizens capable of contributing positively to society and nation-building.

Mir and Lone stressed that students should imbibe values such as honesty, respect and social responsibility alongside modern education, describing these principles as essential for building a peaceful and progressive society.

“Eid teaches us the spirit of sharing, caring and gratitude, while education enlightens minds and shapes the future of nations. When the light of education is combined with strong moral values, it creates a generation capable of leading society towards peace, progress and humanity,” the statement said.

The school management also prayed for lasting peace, communal harmony and continued development in Jammu and Kashmir and wished people a joyful Eid-ul-Adha.

“May this auspicious festival fill every heart with hope, happiness and success. Eid Mubarak to all,” they added.
