Ziraat Times Team Report

Sopore: SRM Welkin Institute in Sopore, regarded as one of the premier schools in North Kashmir, has achieved recognition from the Central Board of Secondary Education and will now adopt the CBSE curriculum, marking a significant development for the institution and the region’s education sector.

With this move, the school becomes one of the few large private institutions in the area to transition to the CBSE system, a shift expected to broaden academic opportunities for students and align the school with national-level educational standards.

The development has been widely welcomed by local stakeholders, including parents, North Kashmir civil society and education experts.

Meanwhile, the Traders Federation Sopore, under the leadership of its president Haji Mohammad Ashraf Ganaie, extended wholehearted congratulations to the chairman of the school, Haji Anaytullah Hajini, describing the recognition as a major milestone for both the institution and the town.

Members of the federation expressed optimism that the affiliation will enhance the quality of education and open new academic avenues for students in Sopore and the wider North Kashmir region.

They also praised the efforts of the school management and staff, acknowledging their dedication and commitment in achieving the milestone, and wished them continued success in shaping the future of young learners.

School Principal Baseema Inayat said the transition to the CBSE curriculum is part of the institution’s broader quest for educational excellence. She credited the school’s founder and chairman, Haji Anaytullah Hajini, for his vision to take the school to newer heights and strengthen its academic standards.

The move is expected to further strengthen Sopore’s position as an emerging educational hub in North Kashmir, with improved access to nationally recognised academic frameworks for students.
