Budgam, February 26: IAS officer Athar Aamir Khan on Wednesday assumed charge as the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Budgam at a formal handover ceremony held at the DC office chamber.
He succeeds Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-din Bhat (IAS), who previously served as Deputy Commissioner of the district.
The charge was taken in the presence of senior officers of the district administration, including Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Budgam Mehraj-ud-din Shah, Joint Director Planning, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Budgam, all Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs), District Information Officer (DIO) Budgam, tehsildars and other senior officials.
The newly appointed Deputy Commissioner was accorded a warm welcome by the officers present on the occasion. He later interacted with senior officials to review administrative matters concerning the district.
Athar Aamir Khan expressed gratitude to the officers and officials present and sought their cooperation in carrying forward the district’s administrative responsibilities.
