Srinagar: Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, has been granted the rank and status of a Cabinet Minister, according to a government order issued on Tuesday.
The order states that Wani will continue to discharge his responsibilities from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. He will also be entitled to official transport, accommodation and other facilities as admissible to a Cabinet Minister.
The decision formalises his status while retaining his existing role as Advisor to the Chief Minister, the order added.
