Srinagar, Dec 22 — A delegation of the Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineers’ Guild Association (JKEEGA) on Saturday met Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, at the Civil Secretariat, seeking early clearance of pending promotion and service-related files.
The delegation was led by JKEEGA President Er Pirzada Hidayatullah and General Secretary Er Sachin Tickoo. During the meeting, the engineers’ body requested clearance of the promotion file for Assistant Engineers (AE) to Assistant Executive Engineers (AEE) and other allied files that have been pending for approval for the past 15 days.
According to JKEEGA representatives, the Advisor assured the delegation that the pending AE-to-AEE promotion file would be cleared by tomorrow.
The association also sought the Advisor’s intervention in the filling up of vacant posts of Joint Managing Directors (JMDs), Executive Directors (EDs) and Managing Directors (MDs), and in the utilisation of direct quota posts of Assistant Engineers.
In addition, the delegation apprised the Advisor of issues related to show-cause notices, seeking a fair and positive resolution.
Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani, the delegation said, assured them that he would take a positive call on all the issues raised.
