Bengaluru: Startups supported by the Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) were among the participants at the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2025, one of India’s largest technology events, held from November 18 to 20.

Organisers said the summit drew more than 10,000 startups from 60 countries, with international exhibitors from Italy, Russia, Israel, Germany, Australia and Korea. The J&K pavilion was among the attractions, witnessing significant footfall and interest from industry professionals, investors and global delegates.

Seven JKEDI-supported startups joined the three-day event. According to officials, the delegation engaged in discussions with industry leaders and explored potential collaborations across technology, mobility, retail and electronics sectors.

A notable interaction took place between Sheenmart E-Com, a Jammu & Kashmir-based startup, and AutoL Korea, a company specialising in compact long-range LiDAR systems. Both sides discussed possible cooperation in advanced sensing and smart mobility solutions.

Curv Electric (Heaventure Adventures Ltd), represented by entrepreneur Sheikh Yameen, held talks with Charge CEO Micheal Nenner on technology integration aimed at enhancing electric vehicle performance. SCANIMO Technologies also established a technical connection with Jio Mart Retail Stores, which expressed interest in adopting its solutions.

Officials from JKEDI’s Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Business Modelling (CIIBM) — including Associate Project Manager Faheem ul Din Malik and Assistant Manager Sorab Mengi — facilitated the engagements. They also met representatives from Startup Tamil Nadu to explore knowledge-sharing and collaboration opportunities.

Startups from the J&K delegation said the summit offered substantial exposure to emerging technologies, industry insights and global networking opportunities. They also acknowledged JKEDI’s role in enabling their participation on national and international platforms.

Officials said the participation reflects the increasing innovation potential within Jammu & Kashmir’s startup ecosystem and the administration’s efforts to support entrepreneurs in scaling their ventures.

The event was attended under the guidance of the Secretary of the Industries and Commerce Department and the Director of JKEDI, Khalid Jahangir.
