Srinagar: National Conference (NC) has emerged victorious in the recently concluded Rajya Sabha elections in the Union Territory, with both of its candidates, Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan and Sajad Kichloo, successfully securing seats.
The official results confirmed that veteran leader Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan and prominent politician Sajad Kichloo were elected to the Upper House of Parliament. The victory marks a significant gain for the National Conference, solidifying its presence at the national level.
While the NC celebrated its double victory, the results for two additional Rajya Sabha seats from the region are still awaited. The final outcome of these remaining contests will determine the complete composition of the J&K contingent in the Rajya Sabha.
The successful election of Ramzan and Kichloo is viewed by political analysts as a morale booster for the NC, reflecting its continued influence in the political landscape of Jammu and Kashmir. The political focus now shifts to the pending results and the subsequent maneuvering among parties to secure the remaining two seats.
