Srinagar: The Kashmir Valley Fruit Growers Cum Dealers Union and the New Kashmir Fruit Association, Parimpora Srinagar, have extended their heartfelt congratulations to Javaid Ahmad Bhat (Tenga) for securing a decisive victory in the recently concluded Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) elections.

In a congratulatory message, Bashir Ahmad Basheer, Chairman of the Kashmir Valley Fruit Growers Cum Dealers Union and President of The New Kashmir Fruit Association, lauded Bhat and his team for winning 20 out of 21 seats with a high voter turnout.

Basheer expressed hope that the newly elected representatives will play a proactive role in addressing issues related to the horticulture sector — a cornerstone of Jammu and Kashmir’s economy.

“I am hopeful that you and your team will leave no stone unturned while highlighting the issues relating to the horticulture sector in all forums,” Basheer said.

He also urged the new KCCI leadership to nominate a separate representative within the Chamber for the horticulture sector to ensure focused advocacy and sustained attention to growers’ concerns.

Basheer extended his best wishes to the new KCCI team for a productive tenure, urging them to work “in the best interest of KCCI and the horticulture sector of Jammu and Kashmir (UT).”

The message reflects the optimism within the fruit-growing community that the new KCCI leadership will help strengthen institutional support for horticulture and enhance coordination among growers, traders, and policymakers.
