Chattabal Wanis bereaved: Aisha Begum, wife of Late Mohammad Amin, passes away. Fateha Khwani on Friday at 2:30 PM.

Srinagar: Aisha Begum, wife of late Mohammad Amin Wani, who served in Jammu & Kashmir judicial services, passed away early Tuesday morning at their residence in Baghi Mehtab Colony, Srinagar.

She was laid to rest at the family’s ancestral graveyard in Chattabal, Srinagar, later in the day.

Deeply admired for her kindness, care among her family and extended family members, the deceased was the mother of Muzamil Ahmed Wani (J&K Judicial Services) and sister of Dr. Shabir Ahmed Wani, Former Associate Professor, Government Medical College,  Srinagar and Nazir Ahmed Wani. She was also the sister-in-law of Abdul Hameed Wani, Muhammad Yusuf Wani, and Muhammad Farooq Wani and Parvez Ahmed Wani (Formerly, Education and Planning Departments).

Congregational Fateha Khwani shall be held on Friday, 17 October at their ancestral graveyard near Chattabal Bridge, Srinagar, at 2:30 PM followed by a Taziyati Majlis at their residence at Baghi Mehtab, Srinagar.

Ms. Aisha Begum was also the aunt of Arjimand Hussain, development economist and founder of Ziraat Times; Dr.  Owais Qadir Jan (JKAS – Finance Department); Ursila Wani (JKAS – J&K Cable Car Corporation); and Dr. Ishan Wani (Senior Resident, Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar).

Her demise has been widely condoled across professional and social circles, including members of the J&K Judiciary, Finance, Education and Health Departments, who expressed deep sympathy with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
