Swiss AI firm, Indian startup join hands to transform diagnostics in India

Delhi — In a major boost to India’s healthcare innovation, Swiss artificial intelligence (AI) healthcare pioneer Emeralgo AI, through its parent company Computer Vision AG, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Delhi-based women-led startup Mc&Me Techserve Pvt. Ltd to establish an AI-driven diagnostics venture in India.

The collaboration, spearheaded by Stefan Voser, Chief Operating Officer of Emeralgo AI, and Pallavi Mehta, Managing Director of Mc&Me Techserve, will involve an investment of about €25 million (₹225 crore). The venture will see Emeralgo holding a 76% stake, while Mc&Me will contribute the remaining 24%.

According to projections, the initiative aims to generate revenues of nearly ₹300 crore by the third year of operations, with an anticipated 30% year-on-year growth thereafter.

Key focus areas of the partnership include:

  • AI-powered Diagnostics: Introduction of advanced AI-enabled MRI and diagnostic software across hospitals and diagnostic centers in India.

  • Rural Healthcare: Delivery of affordable AI-based healthcare solutions for rural populations, particularly targeting economically weaker sections.

  • Employment Opportunities: Training and hiring of more than 500 data analysts within three years.

  • Research & Development: Establishment of an R&D hub and a data center to develop AI tools in cardiology and oncology.

  • Sustainability: Commitment to scalable, innovative, and accessible healthcare models for India.

Commenting on the partnership, Stefan Voser said, “This investment reflects our confidence in India’s healthcare sector and our commitment to making AI-driven diagnostics more accessible and impactful.”

Echoing this sentiment, Pallavi Mehta stated, “Together, we will not only deliver cutting-edge healthcare solutions but also create jobs, empower rural communities, and make healthcare more affordable for the underprivileged.”

Industry experts say the joint venture could mark a turning point in the adoption of AI in Indian healthcare, enhancing the accuracy, speed, and reach of diagnostic services across urban and rural landscapes.
