Srinagar: The Jammu & Kashmir Government has cleared the deputation of an official delegation to participate in the International French Travel Market (IFTM) Top Resa in Paris later this month.
According to Government Order No.1208-JK(GAD) of 2025, dated September 15, the delegation will be headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who also holds charge of the Tourism Department. The visit, scheduled between September 23 and September 25, is aimed at showcasing Jammu & Kashmir’s tourism potential at one of Europe’s most prominent travel and trade platforms.
The delegation includes Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to the Chief Minister and Vikas Gupta, Director of Tourism, Jammu.
The government order specifies that the expenditure for the visit will be borne by the Tourism Department.
Officials said participation in IFTM Top Resa will provide an opportunity to highlight Jammu & Kashmir’s diverse tourism offerings, strengthen engagement with global travel stakeholders, and attract foreign visitors at a time when the sector is grappling with challenges.
The IFTM Top Resa is considered a key networking event for the global tourism and travel industry, attracting thousands of exhibitors and buyers from across the world.
