SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday interacted with members of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) during a special meeting in Srinagar, highlighting investment opportunities and ongoing economic transformation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Appreciating ICC’s efforts to promote trade, commerce, and industry, the LG said the meeting in Srinagar would provide a valuable platform for networking and collaboration among local businesses.

“India is one of the oldest civilizations in the world. For us, relationships are not transactional. They are based on compassion and brotherhood. Our unique cultural heritage and traditional values have made our economy resilient and established India as a great and powerful nation,” Sinha said.

He added that organizing such a meeting in Srinagar sends a strong message to the world: “The Indian Chamber of Commerce has assured the industrial ecosystem that no terrorist force can ever subdue India. This event is a huge statement against the enemies of our great nation and it will inspire industries in J&K to aim for greater goals.”

The LG underlined the historic milestones achieved in connectivity and industrial growth over the past few years, noting that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Jammu and Kashmir has emerged as an attractive destination for investment.

Sinha also praised ICC’s role in policy advocacy, partnerships with the global business community, and its contribution to strengthening India’s competitiveness. He assured industry players and investors of full government support to explore profitable opportunities in the Union Territory.

The event was attended by Abhyuday Jindal, President of ICC and Managing Director of Jindal Stainless Limited; Vikramjit Singh, Commissioner Secretary, Industries & Commerce; Dr. Rajeev Singh, Director General, ICC; Rahul Sahai, Chairman, ICC Jammu Chapter; Khalid Wani, Chairman, ICC Kashmir Chapter; along with business leaders, ICC members and senior officials.
