NC appoints Nazir Gurezi, Bashir Veeri, Salman Sagar as Provincial Vice Presidents

Srinagar: The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) on Wednesday announced a fresh constitution of its Kashmir Provincial Committee, following the recent appointment of Adv Showkat Mir as the Provincial President of JKNC Kashmir Province.

The restructuring has been approved by Dr Farooq Abdullah, President of the JKNC, and includes several senior leaders and office bearers from across Kashmir.

According to the official order issued, received by Ziraat Times, the new Provincial Committee comprises:

• Nazir Ahmad Gurezi as Vice President

• Dr Bashir Ahmad Veeri as Vice President

• Salman Ali Sagar as Vice President

• Syed Tawqeer Ahmad as Secretary

• Mohammad Yaqoob Wani as Joint Secretary (Coordination)

• Ghulam Nabi Wani Tailbali as Joint Secretary (Public Affairs)

• Dr Syed Ahmad as Joint Secretary (Office Affairs)

• Bushan Lal Bhat as Convenor of the Minority Cell (Pandit Community)

• Jagdish Singh Azad as Convenor of the Minority Cell (Sikh Community)

Ahdan Pardesi is another Provincial Vice President for Kashmir. The reconstitution is being seen as part of JKNC’s broader organisational strengthening exercise ahead of potential electoral activities in Jammu & Kashmir. Party insiders said the move is aimed at improving coordination, outreach and community engagement across diverse sections of society.
