Srinagar: In a significant step toward strengthening healthcare services and addressing youth unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir, the government has announced the advertisement of 621 new posts in the Health & Medical Education Department.

The announcement was made by Cabinet Minister Sakina Itoo, who described the move as being in line with the vision of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

“In line with the vision of honourable CM to strengthen healthcare services and boost youth employment, we are pleased to announce the advertisement of 621 posts in the Health & Medical Education Department,” Itoo posted on social media platform X.

The decision is expected to bolster public health services across J&K, while also opening up new opportunities for educated youth aspiring to work in the medical and allied sectors.

The posts, details of which are likely to be notified soon by the relevant recruiting agency, are being seen as part of the government’s broader strategy to revamp the public healthcare system and make it more responsive to the region’s needs.
