Air India to suspend several international routes including Amritsar-London from June 21

Ziraat Times News Desk

NEW DELHI: Air India has announced the suspension of multiple international routes as part of a broader temporary network adjustment affecting long-haul operations. Starting Saturday, June 21, the airline will suspend flights on the Amritsar–London Gatwick, Goa (Mopa)–London Gatwick, and Delhi–Nairobi sectors. The suspension will remain in effect until at least July 15, 2025, according to the airline’s latest update.

In addition to these route suspensions, Air India will also reduce flight frequencies on several other long-haul routes across its global network, including destinations in North America, the UK, Europe, the Far East, and Australia.

The airline attributed the changes to ongoing fleet optimization efforts and operational planning for upcoming aircraft inductions and refurbishments.

Passengers booked on affected flights will be offered alternative travel options or refunds, according to Air India.

For more details and booking support, travelers can visit the official Air India website.

The move is likely to impact peak summer travel plans for hundreds of passengers, especially from Punjab, Goa, and Kenya, where these direct connections have been particularly popular among the diaspora and business travelers.
