Through the medium of your esteemed English daily, I wish to express my heartfelt thoughts on the retirement of Mr. Ved Kotwal, ZEPO, Zone Assar, Doda, Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory. I sincerely hope space will be accorded to this humble tribute.
Mr. Ved Kotwal has rendered outstanding service in various educational institutions, including Government High School Ramban, Government High School Hambal, Government High School Malhori, Government Lower High School Kalhota, and Government Higher Secondary School Khellani, Doda. Over a distinguished career spanning 33 years, 3 months, and 17 days, Mr. Kotwal established himself as a dedicated, hardworking, efficient, and high-profile educator. He earned admiration for his punctuality, regularity, and commitment to the School Education Department, while also excelling in clerical duties with equal efficiency.
On the 4th of April, 2025, we gathered with a sense of gratitude and nostalgia to honour Mr. Ved Parkash Kotwal, our esteemed ZEPO, Zone Assar—currently posted at Government PM SHRI Higher Secondary School, Khellani—on his well-deserved retirement. Over the years, he has been a guiding light to our institution, a beacon of wisdom, and a true mentor to countless students and faculty members.
Mr. Kotwal’s tenure was defined by unwavering dedication and an extraordinary commitment to the cause of education. He created an atmosphere where curiosity was nurtured, where learning flourished, and where each student was treated with dignity and care. His leadership extended beyond administrative duties—it was about nurturing young minds, instilling strong values, and shaping a brighter future.
