Srinagar: The Ministry of Minority Affairs has announced the results of the registration and quota allocation process for Haj Group Organizers (HGOs) for the 2024 pilgrimage.
According to the notification, a copy of which has been shared with Ziraat Times, a total of 834 applications were received from HGOs across two categories: 184 in category-1 and 650 in category-2.
The Ministry also released a list of eligible HGOs from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, along with their allocated quotas. These include LABAIKA HAJ & UMRAH SERVICES, AL HAYAT HAJJ AND OMRAH, AL GHAZALI TOUR & TRAVELS, UNIVERSE TRAVEL CORPORATION, SAHAR TOURS & TRAVELS, and FLY HIGH TOUR AND TRAVELS, each receiving a quota of 50 pilgrims.
The applications were thoroughly examined based on the Haj Group Organizers Policy for 2024, legal compliance, and information submitted by the HGOs.
Following the scrutiny process, 130 HGOs in category-1 were deemed eligible and allocated a quota of 101 pilgrims each. Additionally, 434 HGOs in category-2 were approved and given a quota of 50 pilgrims each for Hajj 2024.
