Young couple, among 4 people, die due to lightening in Kashmir

Srinagar, May 6: Four persons, including a young couple, died in Kashmir on Saturday evening due to lightening when bad weather hit the valley.

A couple died due to cloudburst in Pampore hamlet of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.

An official told the Kashmir Scroll that cloudburst hits Bojhbagh area of Samboora in Pampore, due to which two persons lost their lives.

They have been identified as Hilal Ahmad Hanji (25) son of Abdul Hamid Hanji and his wife Rozia Jan resident of Bojhbagh Samboora.

Two more persons died when lightning struck a high-altitude meadow land in Mujpathri area of Budgam district on Saturday, officials said.

Lightning struck the Sochalpathri Mujpathri, the upper area of Doodhpathri in Budgam resulting in the death of two persons, they told News agency—Kashmir Scroll.
