J&K govt issues Call for Expression for leasing out JKTDC properties

Jammu, Dec 8: To develop the tourism infrastructure on public private partnership (PPP) mode, Jammu and Kashmir Government has finalized the process to lease out 14 posh properties under J&K’s Tourism Development Corporation’s (JKTDC).

Official sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the government has initiated a process to boost development, operations and maintenance of various hospitality infrastructures at 14 identified locations in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on PPP mode.

These locations included JKTDC’s properties in Pahalgam, Aru Pahalgam, Pahalgam Hutments, Pahalgam Golf Course, Patnitop & Padora , Kud , Sanasar, Ramban cafeteria, Hotel Alpine Ramban , Wayside Amenity Seri Ramban , Hotel Alpine Banihal , Hotel Maple Banihal and Qazigund.

Sources said that the government invited Expression of Interest (EoI) from the interested national, international entities, companies having experience in hospitality, tourism industry, restaurants, wayside amenities etc.

“The pre-EoI meeting of interested investors including dozens of representatives from national, international and regional chain of hotels resorts were conducted yesterday wherein the they were briefed in details about the properties to be developed on PPP mode. The representatives were also requested to physically verify the properties there are interested in, so clear any future doubt,” the sources said, adding that the interested investors also asked to submit complete applications by December 15.

Furthermore, Expression of Interest is to be submitted in the prescribed manner through email only on [email protected] by 5.00 pm of December 15, 2022 in English only.

“The interested investors asked to go through the checklist before submission which includes letter of application including preference towards bundling of project assets, details of the applicant in terms for firm details, experience in restaurant, hotel, resort etc. or any other hospitality business, financial details in terms Net Worth, Annual Turn-over/ Revenue from operations and Revenue from similar projects (Hospitality / Tourism Industry / restaurants / wayside amenities etc.) for last five years etc, comments & suggestions on the proposed facilities at each of the project location, copy of Registration Certificate of the Firm, copy of GST registration certificate,” sources said.
