PHDCCI Kashmir holds interactive session with Saloni Rai, Director I&C, Kashmir

Srinagar, Sept 4: PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry-(PHDCCI), Kashmir, through its Executive Committee Panel, organised an interactive welcome session in honour of Director Industries Kashmir to share insights on the state of industry in Kashmir. The Interaction Meet was designed to discuss the issues in industry and how stakeholders and the Industries Department can adapt to work towards the successful implementation of New Industrial Development Scheme with  improvement in ranking of ease of doing business under Bussiness Action reform Plan of government of India, a statement issued to Ziraat Times said.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms Saloni said that she really appreciated inviting her to the EC meeting of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss the future of the industrial investment in J&K.

“The suggestions and issues that we discuss today will be vital for the long term health of the industry, and vital for long term benefits to all stakeholders”, she said adding, “I have heard a range of opinions and suggestions from various stakeholders and representatives of industry by incessant interactions since I joined the department and today also through your discussion and debate, I am optimistic that we will all together commit to faster industrial development of Kashmir.”

Asserting that the Industries Department will continue to reflect on how best to resolve the issues of industry for the medium and long-term, he said doors of her office will always remain open for industry stakeholders and youth of Kashmir, “so that we can arrive at a solution that balances the competing interests, and provides solutions to any issues faced by the industry.”

Earlier the meeting started with opening remarks by Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya, Mentor PHDCCI and Founding Chair of Mumtaz Group of Hotels, thereafter Chairman PHDCCI Kashmir  Baldev Sing Raina delivered his welcome address and the session was moderated jointly by Co-Chair Vicky Shaw and Deputy Director PHDCCI-J&K Iqbal Fayaz Jan, wherein the EC members put their suggestions and issues before Director Industries Kashmir. Prominent among them include Mohd Shafi Tramboo, Jan Muhammad Kaul, Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Himayu Wani, Showket Choudhary, Pervaiz Qalander,  Showket Mirani, Haleem Bhat,  Akib Chaya, Mushtaq Ahamd Mir , Wahid Rather, Ms Qaiser Mir, Ms Shahana Fatima, Fayaz Ahamd Bhat, Saleem Bhat.
