Kashmir Fruit Growers thank LG Sinha, officials, civil society for resolving the NH44 logjam

Srinagar, Sept 27: Kashmir Valley Fruit Growers Cum Dealers Union, which is an Umbrella Body of all Fruit Growers Associations of the Valley, has conveyed their heartfelt thanks to Lt Governor, Chief Secretary, Financial Commissioner, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture Production Department, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Inspector General of Police (Traffic) and Principle Secretary to Government Transport Department, all SSP’s (Traffic) and all other concerned officers including traffic personnel  for their timely action on clearing all stranded fruit laden vehicles on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway (NH44)

In a statement issued to Ziraat Times, the association said, “The Governor’s Administration had been enough kind allowing transportation of fruit laden stranded vehicles to move forward towards Jammu on consecutive two days  with the result the backlog of stranded vehicles have been fully cleared. The KVFG Union also convey thanks to All  Kashmir Traders Associations and all social activist of the Valley, including Print/Electronic and Social media for highlighting this genuine issue and for their support in clearing all stranded fruit laden trucks on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway (NH44).

Kashmir Valley Fruit Growers Cum Dealers Union are hopeful that the Governor’s Administration will consider in near future as well the smooth traffic of Fruit Laden Trucks on priority for safe arrival of Apple/Pear Crop to respective destinations of the Country so that the Valley Based Fruit Growers who are extremely worried of timely arrival of their Fruit consignments to respective destinations will feel a sigh of relief.

Bashir Ahmad Basheer, Chairman KVFG Union once again conveys  its heartfelt thanks to  Financial Commissioner, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture Production Department, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, IGP Traffic, Secretary to Government Transport Department and on behalf of all Presidents/General Secretaries of all Fruit Growers Associations of the Valley alongwith all Fruit Growers and Dealers, the statement added.
