Future of J&K’s cold chain industry: PHDCCI J&K to hold program on June 29

Srinagar: PHDCCI J&K Chapter will organize a key online discussion program on the topic “The Future of Cold Chain Industry in J&K – Challenges, Trends, Opportunities and the Way forward” on 29th June, 2021.

The program is designed to address the pressing demand side issues for Cold Storages in J&K, and will focus on areas like latest technology and innovation in the sector, creation of the cold chain infrastructure, statutory clearances required from the state government, role of clean energy and linking all these activities with market.

Navin Choudhary, IAS, Principal Secretary, Animal and Sheep Husbandry and Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare and Horticulture Department J&K, will be the chief guest at the event.

Those who are expected to speak in the webinar include:

Chaudhary Muhammad Iqbal, Director Agriculture Department; Vishesh Mahajan, Director Horticulture Marketing and Planning, J&K; Ajaz Ahmed Bhat, Director Horticulture Kashmir; Surinder Singh, AGM, NABARD; Maajid Aslam Wafaai (President J&K Cold Chain Association), among others.
