Dr Abdul Majid, KCCI VP, dies in road accident; Kashmir business community shocked

Srinagar: Vice President of Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCC&I), Dr Abdul Maajid, has passed away after meeting with a road accident in Delhi yesterday evening.

As few details are available about the exact circumstances of the demise of Dr Majid, and if he was accompanied by his family in the capital city at the time of the accident, the news has shocked the business community of Jammu & Kashmir.

Prominent businessman and former president of Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Sheikh Ashiq, while announcing the demise of Dr Majid on his Twitter handle, told Ziraat Times that it had come as a very disturbing and heart wrenching news to KCCI and the larger business community of Kashmir.

Former FCIK President, Ashraf Mir, while extending his condolences to the bereaved family, said it was a heart wrenching news.
Javid Anim, Managing Director of Arco Group has also extended his condolences to the family.
Sheikh Feroz, Chairman of Al Khuddam Group, wrote on his social media wall: I have very disturbing and heart wrenching news to share. My hands are shivering while writing that one of our Friend, Comrade, Elder Brotherly Figure and Business Leader is no more.
Ali Muhammad Shirazi, prominent businessman while terming the demise of Dr Majid as shocking and heart wrenching, has extended condolences to the bereaved family.
