Foundation stone of two houses laid at Rakh-e-Aarth by KWT

Srinagar: A foundation stone laying event for houses of displaced families was organised today at Rakhi Arth, Bay 5, Bemina. The event was attended by numerous personalities, volunteers and dwellers of the colony

Moved by the plight of two deserving downtrodden families of River Jhelum Near Bund Rajbagh, Kashmir Welfare Trust (KWT), with the active support of MEERC Moral Education Environment and Relief Council and Food for Poor Group, chairman Kashmir Welfare Trust Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo thanked PSAJK and Food for Poor for their help and support.

The families for whom the two housing units will be constructed are living miserably in their doonga boats as their boats are at the verge of sinking any moment due to their inability to repair their boats. The foundation stone was laid by President Private Schools’ Association J&K (PSAJK) G N Var.

Chairman KWT thanked all who rendered their support for the noble cause. The houses are expected to be ready within few months and the beneficiaries will be rehabilitated subsequently.
