Ziraat Times Team Report
Srinagar: Khurshid Ahmad Ganai (Rtd IAS), former Chief Information Commissioner of Jammu & Kashmir, has termed certain news reports naming him as a beneficiary under the Roshni Scheme as “false, baseless and misleading.”
Mr Ganai, who has had a long and illustrious career in public service in J&K, and also served in various positions, including Advisor to J&K Governor lately, while reacting to these news reports, told Ziraat Times that “he had never held any allotment of nazool or state land and, therefore, the question of my being a beneficiary under Roshni does not arise.”
Lately, there were certain news reports in circulation mentioning names of certain individuals whose land holdings have been regularized by successive governments under Roshi Scheme against the payment of the stipulated fees as per the law of the land.
“Let me reiterate that I am not a beneficiary under the Roshni scheme in any manner”, Mr Khurshid added.
