Srinagar, July 24: The Jammu & Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation (JKTPO) is showcasing a wide range of the Union Territory’s food, agriculture and horticulture products at Indus Food Ahmedabad 2026, being held from July 24 to 26 at the Helipad Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The participation is being facilitated by JKTPO under the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, through the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) programme of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.

Organised by the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI), Indus Food Ahmedabad 2026 has brought together stakeholders from the food processing, packaging, retail, export and agri-food sectors. The three-day business-to-business (B2B) sourcing event features more than 300 exhibitors, over 40 retail chains and is expected to attract around 15,000 trade visitors.

According to officials, the event aims to strengthen India’s position in global food supply chains by facilitating trade collaborations and long-term partnerships among Indian producers, international buyers, policymakers and industry leaders.

The Jammu & Kashmir Pavilion, located in Hall No. 2, provides a platform for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), farmer producer organisations (FPOs) and women entrepreneurs from the Union Territory to showcase their products to domestic and international buyers.

Among the products on display are GI-tagged saffron, rajmah, Sulai (Acacia) honey and multifloral honey, alongside organic honey, essential oils, herbs, ground spices, pulses, dry fruits, and dehydrated fruits and vegetables.

Officials said the exhibition offers participating entrepreneurs valuable exposure while opening avenues for business expansion and market linkages. The pavilion also highlights Jammu & Kashmir’s culinary heritage and its growing capabilities in agri-based value chains and export-oriented production.

Speaking on the occasion, JKTPO Managing Director said the participation reflects Jammu & Kashmir’s increasing strength in quality production and export readiness.

“The Jammu & Kashmir Pavilion at Indus Food Ahmedabad 2026 reflects our region’s growing strength in agri-based value chains, quality production and export readiness. JKTPO remains committed to enabling MSMEs, FPOs and women entrepreneurs to integrate with global markets and build a strong brand identity for J&K products worldwide,” the Managing Director said.

The organisers have invited buyers, trade delegates and visitors to explore the Jammu & Kashmir Pavilion and experience the region’s premium food, agriculture and horticulture products during the exhibition.
