220 KV Wagora–Budgam–Zainakote transmission project: DC Budgam stresses fair land compensation

Budgam, July 6: Deputy Commissioner (District Collector) Budgam, Athar Aamir Khan, on Monday chaired a meeting to review the land acquisition process for the 220 KV Wagora–Budgam–Zainakote Transmission Line project, with a focus on ensuring timely implementation and fair compensation to affected landowners.

The meeting discussed various aspects of the land acquisition process, including the proposed compensation for land required for the construction of transmission towers.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to strictly adhere to all prescribed procedures and ensure that eligible landowners receive fair compensation in accordance with the applicable rules.

He also reviewed the status of procedural formalities related to the project and instructed the concerned departments to maintain close coordination to facilitate the timely execution of the transmission line.

The meeting was attended by the Collector Land Acquisition Budgam, Collector Land Acquisition Chadoora, Collector Land Acquisition Beerwah, Collector Land Acquisition Khansahib, and other concerned officers.
