PHDCCI Kashmir appoints Convenors for Empowered Expert Committees

Srinagar: The PHDCCI Kashmir region  convened an Executive Committee (EC) meeting chaired by Chairman Vicky Shaw, with Co-Chairs Javaid Anim and Himayu Wani in attendance. A key highlight of the meeting was the appointment of Convenors and Co-Convenors for various empowered expert committees to drive initiatives for the upcoming presidential year.

Expert Committee Appointments

The appointed leaders for the expert committees include:

1. Industrial Affairs and MSME

   • Convenor: Er. Syed Pervaiz Qaiser
   • Co-Convenors: Er. Bilal Bhat, Shabir Abdullah

2. Health and Medical Education

   • Convenor: Dr. M.Y. Kawoosa
   • Co-Convenor:  Javaid Anim

3. Direct and Indirect Taxation

   • Convenor: Himayu Wani
   • Co-Convenors:  Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, CA Anil Sharma

4. Tourism, Film, Sport, Golf, and Environment

   • Convenor: Nasir Shah
   • Co-Convenors:  Faisal Simon, Tahir Wani

5. Agriculture, Horticulture, and Allied Sectors

   • Convenor: Fayaz Ahmad Bhat
   • Co-Convenors:  Ubair Shah, Nasir Kawoosa, Rouhaan Rafiq

6. Education, Skill Development, and Vocational Training

   • Convenor: Er. Rakesh Jinsi
   • Co-Convenors:  Shahid Khan, Er. Owais Raja

7. Handicraft and Textile

   • Convenor: Sajad Shah
   • Co-Convenor:  Showket Mirani

8. Infrastructure, Real Estate, Housing, and Urban Development

   • Convenor:  Haleem Bhat
   • Co-Convenor:  Shabir Abdullah

9. Information Technology

   • Convenor:  Madeena Mir
   • Co-Convenors:  Arshad Shawl, Yasir Kazmi

10. Power and Renewable Energy

    • Convenor: Qaiser Mir
    • Co-Convenor: Fayaz Bhat

Additionally, PHDCCI introduced a Women’s Wing, the SHE Forum, led by Madeena Mir, with Co-Convenors Ms. Qaiser and  Zainab Syed.

Community Initiatives Announced

The meeting also featured esteemed guests and unveiled pivotal initiatives:

• Women Empowerment Event: Dr. Rekha Modi, Founder and President of Stree Shakti – The Parallel Force, announced a major women empowerment event in collaboration with PHDCCI. Scheduled for April at SKICC, the event aims to spotlight and amplify women’s contributions across various sectors.
• Health Camp Initiative: Dr. Niraj Mattoo, Farzana Mumtaz (Editor of News Kashmir and Treasurer of the Press Club of Kashmir), and Dr. Quratulain (District Ayush Trainer) announced a joint health camp to be held this month. The camp will serve marginalized communities, aligning with PHDCCI’s commitment to social responsibility and healthcare accessibility.
