Srinagar, October 15: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed Govind Jaiswal, IAS (AGMUT: 2007), as Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor, while assigning him the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board.
According to an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), a copy of which was accessed by news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Jaiswal, who was awaiting adjustment in the GAD, has been posted as Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor.
He will hold the additional charge of CEO of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board alongside his existing responsibilities until further orders.
The post of Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor fell vacant following the appointment of Mandeep K. Bhandari, IAS (AGMUT: 2001), as Chairman of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on September 25, 2026.
