Beacon bans unauthorised road excavation along Magam-Doodhpather stretches on NH-701A

Srinagar, September 15: Project Beacon has directed private telecommunication companies, government departments, agencies and the general public not to undertake any digging, excavation or damage to road infrastructure along two proposed stretches of National Highway-701A without prior permission from the competent authority.

In a public notice issued by Beacon Beerwah 52 Road Construction Company (52 RCC), General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF), the authorities identified the following road stretches:

• Magam–Beerwah

• Sonpah–Arizal–Doodhpathri

The notice specifically prohibits digging, excavating or cutting the road surface, berms and drainage systems along the identified stretches.

Project Beacon stated that no such work shall be undertaken without obtaining prior permission from the competent authority at Project Beacon, Beerwah.

It warned that any unauthorised excavation or damage to road infrastructure would invite strict legal action against the responsible individuals, agencies or companies under applicable laws and rules.

The public notice urged all concerned to cooperate in protecting public road infrastructure and ensuring the safety and smooth movement of traffic.

The notice was issued by Project Beacon, Beacon Beerwah 52 RCC, GREF.
