NLCO mourns demise of environmentalist Ghulam Hassan Kango

Srinagar, August 9: The Nigeen Lake Conservation Organisation (NLCO) has expressed profound grief over the demise of Ghulam Hassan Kango, remembering him as a respected environmentalist, social figure and a person deeply committed to the protection of nature.

NLCO Chairman Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo paid rich tributes to the deceased, describing Kango as a man of humility, integrity and unwavering dedication to environmental conservation.

“His passing is a great loss not only to the environmental fraternity but also to everyone who valued sincerity, compassion and selfless service. He was a true well-wisher, a dear friend and a source of inspiration for many of us. His commitment to protecting our environment will continue to motivate future generations,” Wangnoo said.

The NLCO team conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul.

Quoting the Holy Qur’an, the organisation said: “Every soul shall taste death.” (Qur’an 3:185)

The organisation prayed that Almighty Allah grant Kango the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, forgive his shortcomings and give his family strength and Sabr-e-Jameel to bear the loss.

“Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un,” the NLCO said.
