PHDCCI Kashmir Mourns Demise of Veteran NC Leader Sheikh Mustafa Kamal

Srinagar, July 13: The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), Kashmir Chapter, on Sunday expressed profound grief over the demise of senior National Conference leader and former minister Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, describing him as a towering political figure whose contributions to Jammu and Kashmir would be remembered for generations.

In a condolence message, PHDCCI Kashmir Chairman A.P. Vicky Shaw paid rich tributes to the veteran leader, who passed away earlier in the day. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal was the brother of National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and uncle of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

Shaw described the late leader as a seasoned statesman who dedicated his life to public service and remained a strong voice for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Sheikh Mustafa Kamal Sahib was a towering political personality and a voice of the masses. His immense contributions to the political and social fabric of Jammu and Kashmir will be remembered for generations. His passing leaves behind a void that will be difficult to fill,” Shaw said.

The PHDCCI Chairman extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, particularly Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and the entire National Conference leadership and cadre.

“In this hour of grief, we stand in solidarity with the family and pray for strength and patience for them to bear this irreparable loss,” he said.

PHDCCI Kashmir said the demise of Sheikh Mustafa Kamal marks the end of an important chapter in Jammu and Kashmir’s political history and joined people across the Union Territory in praying for eternal peace to the departed soul.

The chamber also prayed that Almighty Allah grant the deceased the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and bestow courage upon the bereaved family to cope with the loss.
