The CCIK delegation, led by its president, Tariq Ghani, met J&K Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Amitava Chatterjee to discuss a range of issues concerning the business community and measures to strengthen coordination between the banking sector and trade bodies.
The delegation included Vice President M.M. Hussain, Secretary General Shah Adnan, Joint Secretary Atif Khan and Convener Umar Jan Wani.

A key demand put forth by the Chamber was the introduction of a one-time settlement scheme for NPA accounts for a period of one year, which it said would provide relief to struggling businesses and help revive economic activity.
The CCIK delegation stressed the need for sustained cooperation between J&K Bank and the business community to promote entrepreneurship, industrial development and long-term economic growth across the Union Territory.
According to a statement, the bank’s management gave a patient hearing to the issues raised and assured the delegation that all genuine concerns and suggestions would be considered sympathetically.
Managing Director and CEO Amitava Chatterjee reiterated J&K Bank’s commitment to supporting the business community and maintaining close engagement with trade and industry bodies. He said the bank values its longstanding relationship with the business fraternity and looks forward to continued collaboration for the economic development of Jammu & Kashmir.
