Baramulla Admin to examine infrastructure demands at Sopore Industrial Estate

BARAMULLA, July 6: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr S.F. Hamid, on Sunday visited the Sopore Industrial Estate to review the functioning of industrial establishments and interact with traders, entrepreneurs and industrial unit holders.

Accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, the Deputy Commissioner inspected several industrial and business units and assessed their production activities as well as the existing infrastructure within the estate.

During the interaction, traders and entrepreneurs raised several issues affecting the industrial estate, including the need for construction of a boundary wall or fencing, creation of a single regulated entry and exit point, and improvement of other essential infrastructure and facilities.

Responding to the concerns, Dr Hamid assured the stakeholders that all their demands would be examined on priority and taken up with the concerned departments for appropriate action.

He said a well-developed industrial ecosystem is essential for promoting entrepreneurship, generating employment opportunities and strengthening the local economy.

The Deputy Commissioner also stressed the need for coordinated efforts among all concerned departments to facilitate industrial growth and improve infrastructure at the estate.

Reaffirming the district administration’s commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs, he said every effort would be made to provide a conducive environment for the growth and expansion of industrial activities in the district.
