Chief Ministers, LGs to Join PM Modi at NITI Aayog Meeting on Human Development Agenda

New Delhi, June 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the 11th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog on June 11 at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre, with discussions focused on advancing the vision of a developed India by 2047 through inclusive human development.

According to an official statement, the meeting will be held under the theme “Inclusive Human Development for Viksit Bharat @2047” and will bring together Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors, Union Ministers, and senior NITI Aayog officials to deliberate on strategies aimed at ensuring equitable growth and improved well-being for all citizens.

The Governing Council is expected to discuss an Inclusive Human Development Framework built around four key pillars: foundational human capital and future-ready skills; productive employment, entrepreneurship and decentralized growth; health, nutrition and wellbeing; and equity and dignity for all.

A major focus of the meeting will be on measures to promote entrepreneurship, strengthen skilling initiatives, and generate sustainable employment opportunities across the country. Participants will also discuss ways to align state-level development visions with the national goal of achieving a developed India by 2047.

The meeting will deliberate on an implementation roadmap supported by governance reforms, digital public infrastructure, convergence of schemes, partnerships, and data-driven systems. The framework is expected to include mechanisms for tracking short-, medium-, and long-term outcomes to ensure accountability and measurable impact.

The Governing Council will also review recommendations emerging from the Fifth National Conference of Chief Secretaries held in December 2025. The recommendations cover five priority areas: early childhood education, school education, skilling for a future-ready workforce, higher education, and sports and extracurricular development.

Officials said the discussions are intended to strengthen the Centre–State partnership under the Prime Minister’s “Team India” approach and accelerate progress towards inclusive and sustainable development across the country.

The meeting will be attended by Chief Ministers of States and Union Territories, Lieutenant Governors and Administrators of Union Territories, Union Ministers serving as ex-officio members and special invitees, as well as the Vice Chairman, members and Chief Executive Officer of NITI Aayog.
