LG Manoj Sinha, Deputy CM Surinder Choudhary extend Eid-ul-Azha greetings

Srinagar, May 26: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Tuesday extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the eve of Eid-ul-Adha.

In his message, the Lieutenant Governor conveyed his heartiest greetings and best wishes to the people on the auspicious occasion and said Eid-ul-Adha symbolises the spirit of sacrifice, unity and brotherhood.

He said the sacred festival serves as a reminder for humanity to embrace the values of love, compassion and forgiveness.

“May this Eid usher in joy, peace and prosperity in everyone’s life,” Sinha said.

Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary also extended Eid greetings to the people, stating that the festival holds immense religious and cultural significance for Muslims across the world and is celebrated with great enthusiasm across Jammu and Kashmir.

He said Eid-ul-Adha symbolises sacrifice, discipline, devotion and complete surrender to the will of the Almighty, while also inspiring people to uphold the values of compassion, generosity and brotherhood.

Choudhary observed that Jammu and Kashmir has always stood as an example of communal harmony, mutual understanding and respect for all faiths.

He said the people of the Union Territory have consistently upheld the spirit of brotherhood, love and togetherness.

The Deputy Chief Minister also prayed for peace, prosperity and progress for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
